Mayowa Grace Adeleke

Mayowa is a PhD Researcher at University College Dublin (UCD) and a member of the Climate + Co-Centre, where she is researching the environmental, economic and resilience trade-offs associated with beef production systems.

As part of her research, Mayowa is contributing to the development of an integrated modelling approach that brings together farm systems modelling, environmental assessment and resilience analysis. By exploring different production and transition scenarios, her research aims to identify potential trade-offs and synergies and generate evidence to support more sustainable and resilient agricultural systems.

Prior to commencing her PhD, Mayowa completed a Research Master’s in Agriculture and Food Science at UCD, where she developed a whole-farm bioeconomic model to evaluate intervention strategies for reducing antimicrobial use on Irish pig farms. Her research experience has developed her interests in livestock systems, quantitative modelling and generating practical evidence to support informed decision-making in the agri-food sector.
